According to greek mythology the lyre was invented by Hermes when he was still a baby, made from the shell of a tortoise and the intestines of a cow Hermes had stolen from his brother Apollo.

The premise for this project is an unfounded claim inspired by the Greeks and put forth by the artist herself (me) which is that the only determining factor for whether someone is actually a poet, is technical: You must have a lyre in hand.
